Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Paid the deposit for the flat today, got a receipt so barring something very out of the ordinary happening, I'll be moving in on Tuesday! Tomorrow I'm gonna head back down to Brighton for some festival that's going on there with a £500 Main Event, will hopefully be able to get a result cause I really need to start earning.

I had a strange conversation with Mick McCool yesterday. It started when he published on his blog a photo of me blinking that makes me look really stupid. I said something in the comments like "lol you bastard" or something like that then went on to facebook for the rest of the day, as usual. Mick pops up in facebook chat all like "keesy [sic] you bastard how are ya!!!". Then he laughed to himself for a bit about how I looked "like a zombie" in that photo. All goes quiet for a second and then he says "how do you fancy a wee challenge??". His suggestion was a last longer bet in the next 2 GUKPTs. The loser has to wear fancy dress of the winner's choice at a 3rd GUKPT.

Now, this is a terrible bet from my point of view. If I lose, I have to wear some embarrassing fancy dress for hours on end in front of loads of strangers and people with cameras. And it will be very embarrassing. Mick was talking about a ballerina outfit at one point. If I win, I'll get to make Mick McCool wear embarrassing fancy dress. This has no benefit to me. I wouldn't much want to see Mick in a tight fitting t-shirt let alone a tutu or fishnet stockings. And he doesn't really give a shit, he wouldn't be in the slightest bit embarrassed. It really is very one-sided.

So obviously I accepted. Mick's attitude is so infectious I just got carried away. I had to laugh at the idea when he said it in facebook and then even more when he called me up to laugh down the phone at me. Whatever you wanna say about Mick McCool, he's certainly entertaining.

So now I'm shitting myself about this bet. I'm thinking maybe I could wear fancy dress to the next 2 GUKPTs anyway, and then I won't care about the bet because I'll be used to it already. But then again I've really got to be a big favourite to win here. My last 3 GUKPTs have been Thanet, the London Grand Final and Brighton, where I lasted into Day 2 in Thanet and London, and 7.5 hours in Brighton. But then that means I'm due a level 1 exit pretty soon. Maybe I'll just try and bust this 500 first hand to get that out of the way.

So that's that. I'm in it now and I'm not one to back out of a bet, so I'd better run good in the next 2 GUKPTs. And, just in case I win, I'd better start thinking of some good fancy dress outfits for Mick. Any ideas?
