Once again it's been a while, I've been away from the internet for a couple of weeks in the real world which, to be honest, hasn't been too kind to me. I'll catch you all up:
First, I went to Brighton with Dave and Bob for that £500 freezeout. We rented a sick apartment for the weekend which we'll definitely be looking to do again next time we're in Brighton. However, we didn't actually make the tourn, even though it started at 6.30pm and had 2 levels of alternates I think. The night before we'd gone out in town and I got my head kicked in by a stranger for no reason, ended up in an ambulance and everything. Basically 2 of us were walking along innocently talking to a girl, 'where you been, had a good night?' etc, when her boyfriend bowled up behind us, smacked me once in the side of the head, followed with an uppercut to the jaw and it was lights out for me. Apparently then as I lay unconcious on the pavement the fucker also stamped on my head. No need for that mate. I was out cold for 15-20 mins and my jaw still hurts a bit but apart from that I'm fine now, fortunately.
Then this week I moved into the new flat. Thankfully this has gone without many problems so far, touch wood. No nasty surprises yet, hot water, a warm bed and my sick new TV. I'm having to wait till next week to get sky and broadband installed but in the meantime I've got one of those USB broadband kerjiggers so I'm still connected. Till tonight tho the "adult content filter" wouldn't let me write a blog post so sorry about that.
This weekend just gone was DTD's monthly deepstack festival. I played the £75 on Friday and came 5th for £500. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. On Saturday I busted the £300, I built up early but quickly threw it away again. Exit hand was KTs that I CO-raised to 1100 at 200/400 +50 playing 10k or so. BB called and we saw a KJ4 flop, BB check raised all in over my 2000 bet. I called and missed vs KQ. I decided against playing cash and chilled for the rest of the night chatting with Gareth at the bar.
On Sunday I played the £150 and built up a big stack early on playing like a total fish really. Then I found AKs and managed to get my 3x average stack in vs the 77 of the only person in the tournament with a similar stack and miss. I guess he put me on AK, nice read. I then decided I ought to get some cash played and lost 2 buyins at £2/£5 NLH.
To cap it all, on my way out of the club at 4am or whenever, I found my car had been broken into. They'd been after my satnav since I left the holder stuck to the window, but luckily I'd left the actual unit in Mayhew's car. However in the process of getting my door open they twisted the metal under the handle, which is gonna cost me £250 plus my no-claims discount. The police weren't far away, they were actually stood by my car when I arrived to it, mine wasn't the only one broken into.
Still, no use crying over spilt milk. Monday and Tuesday I picked up Nathan from Birmingham since he's moving into the spare room for a while and had a good night joining in the goodbye drinks with his old housemates, ended up sleeping fully clothed on the 4ft sofa despite there being three empty bedrooms in the house that night.
Next week I'll be playing the £1k main event in the Broadway festival in Birmingham. If anyone would like to buy a share, I'm looking to sell 40% at £130 per 10%, but don't overspend cos I'm also looking to sell another 40% at the same rate for the £1k GUKPT main event in Walsall the week after. Get in touch if you're interested.
Till next time, inabit readers.

Ouch mate, sounds like you got off lightly really, could have been a lot worse. Good to hear you're stocking up the flat with all the necessities!
I'll try and catch you on msn if I ever get chance to get on there when I'm not working out tax calculations.
I'd like 10 in both please, let me know how you want it, bank transfer would be good for me, I have your details anyway. Good luck.
